About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience spanning product management and product ownership, ideally including agency, consultancy, or client-services work, with the ability to own both product direction with a client and precise acceptance criteria.
  • Enough technical fluency to discuss architecture tradeoffs, APIs, and technical debt with engineers without writing code.
  • Analytical, hypothesis-driven decision-making and comfort making decisions with incomplete information, with ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including translating technical constraints for clients and business goals for development teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, modern delivery tooling, and artificial intelligence tools for research, writing, and backlog work.
Responsibilities
  • Act as product lead for clients without an in-house product manager, developing a working understanding of their business, users, and market to make decisions on their behalf.
  • Translate business goals and stakeholder input into a product vision, roadmap, and prioritized, sequenced backlog, grooming work by user value, dependencies, risk, and effort.
  • Run or support discovery and requirements gathering with Solutions and Delivery teams, turning findings into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Represent client product interests in internal planning and explain technical and delivery realities to clients; present roadmaps, tradeoffs, and progress in plain language and manage scope against sprint or budget capacity.
  • Review completed work against acceptance criteria and accept it into the baseline, ensuring work meets its intent.
  • Run or co-run Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, keeping the team focused on sprint and release goals.
  • Partner daily with design, engineering, and quality assurance to resolve ambiguity and keep tradeoffs visible to the business.
  • Work with Project Management on scope, risk, and budget, owning what gets built while the Project Management team owns the plan and day-to-day client cadence.
  • Coordinate with the shared Capabilities team to align priorities across concurrent engagements.
  • Use artificial intelligence-assisted tools for research synthesis, specification drafting, and backlog grooming, exercising judgment about when to override an initial draft.
  • Use modern product and delivery tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, or Productboard, or equivalents, and work directly with designers using Figma.
Desired Qualifications
  • Agency, consultancy, or client-services experience is preferred.
