Requirements
  • Three to six years of prior experience with a general contractor, engineering firm, or similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager and project team with executing projects and help manage subcontractors, vendors, and professionals toward successful completion within budget and schedule goals.
  • Track and distribute contract documents, sketches, and requests for information using Procore, and ensure the field office has current drawings, specifications, sketches, and requests for information.
  • Assist with construction take-offs for items including doors, windows, and flooring using On-Screen Takeoff.
  • Develop scope lists for trade contracts and assist with writing scopes of work.
  • Receive and log bids and proposals and assist with bid comparison sheets.
  • Prepare required project-specific submittal lists; solicit, receive, log, and review subcontractor submittal packages; submit packages to the design team; track returns; and distribute approved submittals for coordination.
  • Log and track mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination drawings and files and schedule and attend coordination meetings.
  • Receive, log, research, draft, submit, track, and follow up on requests for information and sketches; review responses; and mark up contract drawings and specifications.
  • Solicit and track subcontractor payment applications; prepare requisitions for bank review; track change orders, purchase orders, waivers, and invoice cost coding.
  • Update the project schedule and key milestones monthly, track milestone requirements and long-lead items, and coordinate material releases, shipments, and site deliveries with superintendents.
  • Prepare weekly in-house and owner/architect meeting minutes using Procore.
  • Assist with compliance with the company's safety program and follow the policies and procedures in the safety manual.
  • Assist with creating quality-control checklists for sheetrock, façade, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and finish work; create material logs; and track mockups and deliveries.
  • Receive and log testing and special-inspection reports and track and follow up on non-compliance reports.
  • Coordinate, log, and track documents required for the NYSERDA Multifamily Performance Program and Enterprise Green Communities Certification Program and assist with minority- and women-owned business enterprise tracking.
  • Review weekly insurance logs with the field team to verify subcontractor enrollment in CCIP or possession of required outside-CCIP insurance.
  • Coordinate and track requirements for temporary and permanent certificates of occupancy with the Department of Buildings.
  • Track punch lists and owner handover, gather and review operations and maintenance documents and as-built records, and coordinate utility transfer to the owner.

  • Experience with construction submittals, requests for information, change orders, purchase orders, requisitions, and project scheduling.
  • Experience with NYSERDA Multifamily Performance Program and Enterprise Green Communities Certification Program compliance.
  • Experience with CCIP insurance requirements and Department of Buildings temporary and permanent certificates of occupancy.
