Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive, curative, educational, and palliative care within the scope of practice while respecting professional ethics, facility values, and institutional rules.
  • Maintain and develop patients' autonomy.
  • Ensure the quality and safety of care for the population served.
  • Provide information and communicate with patients and their families.
  • Participate in training, quality-improvement activities, and other institutional work, and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Collect data and specific information within the role's area of activity.
  • Participate in welcoming patients and their families.
  • Provide care related to maintenance and continuity of life, partially or fully compensating for reduced patient autonomy.
  • Monitor patients' health status.
  • Mobilize patients using safe handling techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to contribute to comprehensive patient care and participate in daily meetings.
  • Document care activities and observations in the patient's OSIRIS record.
  • Participate in developing and monitoring each patient's care and life plan.
  • Apply the facility's current protocols.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies using appropriate techniques.
  • Participate in maintaining the patient's environment.
  • Contribute to safety measures by following health vigilance procedures, including identity, infection, and medical-device vigilance.
  • Manage stocks of products and equipment within the scope of practice.
  • Manage supplies needed to provide care, including protective products and meals.
  • Propose improvement actions to service managers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, psychologists, and dietitians, to optimize patient care.
  • Provide information about admission and stay conditions.
  • Give patients and their families information about care and administrative matters within the scope of competence and professional rules.
  • Educate and advise patients and their families within the care plan and participate in therapeutic education activities when appropriate.
  • Transmit collected and observed patient information.
