This position is open to both hybrid and remote work locations. Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. We are also willing to consider remote candidates within the United States.

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience developing APIs in GoLang and/or Perl
  • Experience scaling applications hosted in a cloud environment that rely on relational databases
  • Understanding of best principles for system design
  • Able to implement reasonably well defined projects with minimal guidance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with teams distributed across different time zones
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement features for customer configuration management
  • Contribute, support, and deploy applications in Go and Perl to cloud environments
  • Collaborate with teammates and engineers across the organization
  • Anticipate, design, and build for reliability and scaling needs
  • Contribute to core infrastructure and platform needs using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Chef
  • Participate in on-call rotation
