About the job
- At least 3 years of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Graduation from an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- A current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
- Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in difficult or emergent situations.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manually take patient vital signs and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories focused on allergy and sinus conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic allergic and sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and asthma.
- Order and interpret allergy testing, sinus computed tomography scans, and pulmonary function tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans involving medications, immunotherapy, and procedural recommendations.
- Administer and supervise subcutaneous and sublingual allergy immunotherapy.
- Perform and assist with nasal endoscopy and other in-office procedures.
- Educate patients about disease management, treatment options, and medication use.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record within 24 hours of each visit.
- Oversee and manage food and environmental allergy testing using percutaneous allergy skin testing and intracutaneous allergy testing.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative evaluation and treatment following surgeon-performed sinus procedures.
- Develop relationships with referring medical providers and the local medical community.
- Attend lunches and events with the assigned territory provider relationship representative to build credibility and market Aspire.
- Meet the stated testing, treatment, and IOP conversion performance thresholds.
- Previous experience working with an electronic medical record or electronic health record system.
