  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience with data management
  • At least 7 years of experience with risk identification, control development, audit or regulatory compliance
  • Master’s Degree or PhD in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Research (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in validating data management controls (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience with data governance or predictive analytics (preferred)
  • At least 2 years leading and developing with open source data technologies (preferred)
Responsibilities
  • A trusted advisor to the business partners, providing expert advice and effective challenge on data management risks and controls
  • Identifying opportunities and work with business stakeholders and partners to embed data management practices into our daily operations and business processes across the organization
  • Using strong analytical skills to conduct data risk assessments, control validations, and reviews of business data strategies
  • Performing gap assessments and create recommendations to ensure progress towards organizational adoption of data management transformation
  • Collaborating within EDRM and with our Partners on areas of metadata management, data quality, and maturing data stewardship functions
  • Working with partners to identify areas of data risk with data management tools and controls in emerging data platforms
  • Performing 2nd line of defense assessment of risk and compliance with data management practices and processes.
