Requirements
  • The employee must be 18 years of age or older.
  • The employee must be able to read and/or interpret written or pictorial documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schedules, and procedure manuals.
  • The employee must be able to communicate verbally, gesturally, or through written means.
  • The employee must meet the Low Beginning English reading and listening thresholds specified in the posting.
  • Spoken English is not required, but a translator must be present during the five-day New Hire Orientation.
  • The employee must pass and maintain background checks.
  • The employee must meet the minimum physical requirements of the position.
  • The employee must commit to a regular schedule.
  • The employee must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • The employee must stand for two hours, walk, balance, climb steps, reach with the arms, and use the hands to grasp, hold, handle, and feel.
  • The employee must stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, squat, or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must have close, distance, color, peripheral, and detailed vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to work around moving mechanical parts and occasional wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, electrical shock risks, and vibration.
Responsibilities
  • Stock storage closets and custodial carts.
  • Perform routine cleaning of restrooms and occupied offices.
  • Perform periodic cleaning of vents.
  • Maintain grounds, including snow removal.
  • Perform routine vacuuming of carpeting and matting.
  • Perform routine dusting and wet mopping of tile areas.
  • Perform periodic dusting of horizontal ledges.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Produce quality work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Maintain customer service standards at building sites.
  • Practice proper security, safety, and ergonomic standards at building sites.
  • Use a teamwork approach for projects.
  • Promote Peckham’s vision, values, and services to customers and stakeholders.
  • Complete New Hire Orientation and related certifications.
  • Receive and implement constructive feedback in a professional manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and training as needed.

According to a recent contract announcement, the selected carriers will share a $24 million deal to move critical cargo within the continental United States. A winning team of carriers. Selected from a pool of 13 competitive bids, the following companies were awarded the contract: * Delta Air Lines Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia) * Lynden Air Cargo LLC (Anchorage, Alaska) * Northern Air Cargo LLC (Anchorage, Alaska) * Sun Country Inc. (Minneapolis, Minnesota) * United Parcel Service Co. (Louisville, Kentucky) Contract details and future outlook. This agreement is scheduled to run through June 30, 2027. However, the Defense Logistics Agency noted that the contract includes options that could extend the partnership for an additional four years. Broader Logistics activity.
