Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards, and procedures guiding manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, the environment, and the site.
  • Knowledge of existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components.
  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility.
  • Knowledge of and experience with effectively managing changes to the production environment and process.
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify a problem and use a disciplined approach to bring that problem to a successful resolution.
  • Frequent walking and standing are required.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
  • Establish site strategies, systems, and controls to support company and customer objectives in quality assurance and compliance.
  • Establish and report site quality performance metrics and provide leadership support to assigned sites to ensure scorecard objectives are met.
  • Implement and maintain an overarching quality framework using assessment, training, and monitoring techniques to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and independent agency standards.
  • Establish and assure implementation of company-wide quality programs.
  • Manage the quality incident resolution process, including completion of root cause analyses, calculation of total cost of quality, implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders.
  • Address quality concerns and operational improvement opportunities by working with key stakeholders and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage external and internal audit processes and support site quality representatives responsible for executing corrective actions to address audit deficiencies.
  • Provide guidance on staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management to develop and enhance the quality function, working closely with direct reports.
  • Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge through networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.
  • Work primarily in a production and/or warehouse setting, with additional time spent in an office setting.
  • Occasional travel is required.
