Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy is required.
- A current state license or certification is required.
- Current registration with the American Physical Therapy Certification Board is required.
- A minimum of one year of rehabilitation experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the specific therapy discipline is required.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements is required.
- Willingness to provide therapy services in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities, long-term care facilities, or home health care is required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders using therapeutic procedures to restore muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment, relieve pain, and improve movement and function.
- Work as a member of a team, providing support and information within the area of Physical Therapy.
- Provide therapy services in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities, long-term care facilities, or home health care.
