Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • One to three years of applicable product inspection experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and a microscope.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks using basic language and math skills.
Responsibilities
  • Follow established procedures to check, test, and inspect raw materials, work in process, and finished goods; compare characteristics against technical specifications, identify defects, conduct tests, record results, and prepare technical reports.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, master gauge blocks, indicators, surface gauges, surface plates, and sine bars, to accept or reject parts against quality standards.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests; return products for rework, confirm rework, communicate required adjustments, and ensure quality products are released to customers.
  • Read and interpret complex technical drawings and apply tight tolerances during part inspections.
  • Enter and analyze statistical data using Infinity or other statistical process control software; document inspection results and assess statistical data to maintain product quality and reliability.
  • Operate inspection equipment when applicable, troubleshoot quality issues, and report issues to leadership as needed.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for inspection procedures, train other employees as required, and ensure inspection methods are consistent and follow quality standards and processes.
  • Perform analytical tests using instrumentation and equipment, and perform measurement calculations as needed.
  • Assist in any assigned areas and work any required shifts or days.
  • Perform visual and measurement inspection tests, including calculating distances, angles, and radius tapers using complex measuring equipment such as Zeiss equipment or coordinate measuring machines.
