ClassPass introduces new partner policies focused on transparency and revenue protection. Platform enhancements include stronger fraud safeguards, expanded booking protections and new business insights. ClassPass has announced a series of platform updates designed to provide fitness and wellness partners with greater transparency, stronger revenue protection and enhanced operational support. The changes, introduced throughout 2026, are intended to help the marketplace's 88,000-plus partner venues optimize unused capacity while strengthening protections for their direct businesses. According to ClassPass, the updates reflect ongoing investment in partner tools as the global fitness and wellness economy continues to grow. Increased transparency for partners. Among the most notable changes is the move to non-anonymous user reviews, allowing partners to better understand customer feedback and engage more directly with clients. Members will also receive notifications when businesses respond to their reviews. ClassPass has also expanded onboarding guidance for first-time users, providing clearer expectations around class preparation and studio etiquette to help create a more consistent experience for both clients and operators. In addition, partners now have access to SmartRate Insights, a new dashboard feature that provides greater visibility into pricing performance, revenue generation and opportunities to optimize class schedules. New revenue protection measures. To better protect operators' existing member bases, ClassPass has introduced Mindbody Direct Protection for businesses using both Mindbody and ClassPass. The feature is designed to prevent customers who have visited a studio directly within the previous year from redeeming a ClassPass trial offer at the same location. Beginning later this month, ClassPass also says it will compensate partners when qualifying late-cancellation fees are waived for users under eligible circumstances. Enhanced fraud detection. The company has also strengthened its fraud detection systems to identify suspected repeat trial abuse more effectively. Partners can now report potential misuse directly through an improved dashboard interface, with qualifying reservations remaining eligible for partner payouts where applicable. Expanded partner support. ClassPass has also enhanced customer service by providing partners with faster access to dedicated phone support when requested. "Our partners are at the center of the ClassPass marketplace, and we're constantly evolving to help them both protect their direct businesses and get more value from the ClassPass platform," said Jeff Bladt, Senior Vice President of Pricing & Marketplace at Playlist, ClassPass's parent company. ClassPass also noted that it invested more than $50 million in marketing during 2025 to drive new consumers to partner businesses, while reporting that the number of partners generating more than $1 million in annual revenue through the platform increased by 28% between 2024 and 2025. The platform says the latest policy changes are designed to help operators attract new customers, improve business insights and maximize revenue from available class capacity while maintaining stronger protections for their existing client base.

The rollout will give ClassPass members the option to redeem their credits for visits to attractions including Six Flags parks, LEGOLAND Florida, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Phoenix Zoo and Georgia Aquarium, alongside a wider portfolio of entertainment destinations. The expansion represents another step in ClassPass's evolution from a fitness booking platform into a broader experiences marketplace. Members have increasingly been able to use credits beyond gyms and studios, with the company adding movie tickets over the past year. According to ClassPass, bookings for cinema experiences increased by more than 22 per cent between March and May 2026, demonstrating growing demand for non-fitness activities through the platform. The latest expansion extends that Strategy into the family attractions market, allowing subscribers to use the same credits and app to book admission to major visitor destinations as well as fitness and Wellness experiences. Claire Albert, director of strategic partnerships at ClassPass, said the expansion gives members more opportunities to use their credits for family outings, weekend activities and entertainment experiences beyond traditional fitness bookings. The partnership is being delivered through EBG, which provides ticketing and distribution services across the attractions and entertainment sectors. For attractions operators, the agreement offers access to ClassPass's large Membership base and reflects a wider trend towards subscription-based discovery platforms that package leisure, fitness and entertainment experiences within a single consumer ecosystem. The initial rollout is limited to US attractions, although ClassPass operates in 31 countries, raising the prospect that the model could be extended to other markets if the programme proves successful. Attractions already bookable include: * Six Flags Magic Mountain * Legoland Florida * Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex * Seaworld San Diego * Sesame Place San Diego * Georgia Aquarium * Phoenix Zoo * San Antonio Zoo * Bay Area Discovery Museum More news. 1 - 15 of 69,718 24 Jul 2026 23 Jul 2026 22 Jul 2026 Private investment company Franchise Equity Partners has acquired Bravo Fit, the Planet Fitness franchisee in Australia, from existing shareholders. 22 Jul 2026 21 Jul 2026 1 - 15 of 69,718
Marriott and Hilton deals with ResortPass deliver revenue for resorts spas and health clubs through day-access. By Charlie Emmerson 24 Jul 2026 The day-access market for fitness and spa experiences is creating new revenue streams for resorts Credit: Marriott Bonvoy Marriott has made ResortPass an approved vendor, but individual Hotel s must still choose to join the platform Hilton has extended its ResortPass Partnership for three years ResortPass has grown from more than 900 partners and 1.6 million guests in 2022 to more than 2,700 partners and five million guests It says some properties are getting US$3 million a year benefit Job opportunities Heritage Great Britain c£70,000pa + benefits + relocation support location: Isle of Wight, United Kingdom Marriott has signing a global agreement with ResortPass that will make it easier for participating hotels to offer paid day-access to Resort Spas, Health clubs, pools, cabanas and day rooms. Hundreds of Marriott properties have already worked with ResortPass through individual agreements, with the new arrangement creating a route for additional hotels to join the platform if they choose. Marriott has approximately 7,000 health clubs across 14 major markets globally, while the majority of its upscale hotels have spas, indicating the scale of the opportunity. Founded in 2016 by Amanda Szabo, ResortPass has created a marketplace that enables consumers to book access to hotel amenities without purchasing an overnight stay. The company now partners with more than 2,000 hotels across more than 30 countries and has served more than five million guests. Former ClassPass executive Michael Wolf joined the business as CEO in 2022 to lead its next phase of growth. For resort operators, the success of ResortPass highlights the growing commercial value of resort spas and health clubs, which are increasingly viewed as standalone businesses capable of attracting local residents and visitors. ResortPass says it generates hundreds of millions of dollars in ancillary revenue each year for its partners, with some properties generating as much as US$3 million annually. Wolf said: "People are increasingly looking for opportunities to rest, recharge and connect without committing to an overnight stay. "This agreement gives more Marriott hotels the opportunity to meet that demand while unlocking additional value from their existing amenities." ResortPass's Expansion has been supported by US$37.4 million in funding, including a US$26 million Series B round completed in 2022. The round was co-led by 14W and Declaration Partners, with Participation from existing investor CRV and new backers including Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brian Kelly - founder of The Points Guy - and William Morris Endeavor. The most recent funding round was completed at more than two-and-a-half times the valuation achieved in the previous round. Since the raise, ResortPass has more than doubled its hotel network from 900 properties to more than 2,000 and increased the number of guests using the platform from 1.6 million to five million. The Marriott announcement follows Hilton's decision earlier this month to extend its own partnership with ResortPass. The agreements reflect the growing commercial importance of resort Wellness. According to the 2025 ISPA U.S. Spa Industry Study, commissioned by the ISPA Foundation and conducted by PwC, resorts are one of the most profitable business models, with 54 per cent of resort and hotel spas reporting profit margins of 20 per cent or more and around 25 per cent achieving margins exceeding 30 per cent. The ResortPass model has equal potential for spa and health and Fitness and while ResortPass is not a substitute for a conventional health club Membership, it's creating a new route to market for resort fitness facilities, enabling operators to sell access to consumers seeking a Premium experience. Liz Terry, editor of HCM and editorial director of Spa Business, said: "For decades, the leisure sector has relied on two primary business models: memberships and overnight stays. ResortPass represents a third model based on day-access. "As resort health clubs, hotel spas and social wellness clubs continue to invest in premium facilities, the distinction between members, overnight guests and day visitors is likely to become increasingly blurred in resort locations."
