As a Principal ML Engineer, you will:
- Help shape our long-term ML strategy and roadmap
- Provide deep technical feedback on current and envisioned ML projects across the organization.
- Design, drive, and ship strategic ML projects
- Work with modeling techniques at the state-of-the-art of probability prediction, as well as a other ML areas from NLP to CNNs
- Develop Liftoff R&D’s ties to the research community
- Join a nimble, consistently exemplary, and skilled engineering team.
Requirements:
- PhD in a STEM field
- 10+ years of experience experience
- Broad and deep ML knowledge (including neural networks) and experience
- Experience deploying ML solutions at scale
- Previous AdTech experience
- Proficient coding ability
- Sets ego aside in pursuit of finding the best solution, no matter where it comes from
- Self-motivated and a great sense of urgency
- Solid track record of ML publications in scientific conferences and journals

This role eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TX, UT, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and NYC.
Compensation:
Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:
SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $270,000 minimum
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $248,400 minimum
All other cities and towns in our approved states: $232,200 minimum
