Requirements

  • A background in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, energy engineering, or a related discipline, from an ABET-accredited university, especially for work oriented toward markets such as the United States.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with more than five years of experience including project and academic work.
  • Ability to create dashboards, analyze complex data, and use Power Query and pivot tables.
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills, with one to two years of experience.
  • Ability to prepare clear and effective technical presentations for stakeholders and management teams.
  • Intermediate experience analyzing vehicle test data, with one to two years of experience.
  • Ability to interpret data from fuel economy, vehicle dynamics, and wind tunnel tests.
  • Intermediate knowledge of propulsion systems, with one to two years of experience.
  • Experience in the development or testing of propulsion systems, including combustion, hybrid, or electric engines.
  • Advanced technical English, with more than one year of experience; fluency in spoken and written English for interaction with global teams and preparation of technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Performance Lead in integrating and tracking key metrics, including fuel economy, performance, weight, thermal management, and aerodynamics.
  • Validate that customer objectives are met.
  • Create, update, and analyze the EMAT Scorecard to report vehicle-attribute progress.
  • Serve as the point of contact between EMAT and other teams, including Vehicle Dynamics, Safety, and NVH.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment of objectives among multidisciplinary teams.
  • Review chassis dynamometer, engine dynamometer, and wind tunnel test data and propose improvements.
  • Interpret test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Generate work requests for EMAT scientific teams.
  • Collaborate on the creation of risk mitigation plans.
  • Analyze competing vehicles to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Prepare technical documents and presentations for stakeholders using Excel and PowerPoint.
