Game Designer/Developer - C#/Java, C++ Skills
About the job
- Three to five years of experience developing in C Sharp, Java, or C Plus Plus.
- Experience with C Sharp or Java, including gaming experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of game engines, art content, and rendering gaming content.
- Basic knowledge of three-dimensional art pipelines and rendering systems.
- Working knowledge of distributed architectures and associated parallel algorithms.
- Working knowledge of at least one build-system language, such as Microsoft Build, NMake, Make, or Ant.
- Service cloud design or game design experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Build highly scalable, distributed, reliable, business-critical systems that process terabytes of data daily using hundreds of compute cores and graphics processing units.
- Partner with the Pipeline Engineering team to expand scalability and efficiency across pipeline systems.
- Design systems that transform code and art assets into optimized game-consumable data.
- Work closely with studio teams to design systems that accommodate production realities and day-to-day iteration cycles.
- Support remote workflows for artists and developers distributed globally.
- Experience or coursework in central processing unit and graphics processing unit architectures and technologies, three-dimensional graphics pipelines, parallel algorithms, networking and storage systems, and cloud scaling architectures.
- Experience with shipped AAA game development titles.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages, preferably including PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud systems.
- Gaming-focused education.
