About the job
- The candidate must have 1–6 years of experience programming in C or C++ or a similar language and Python.
- The candidate must have an in-depth understanding of network protocols.
- The candidate must have an in-depth understanding of operating system internals.
- The candidate must be familiar with modern software engineering concepts.
- The candidate must have knowledge of common Computer Network Operations techniques.
- The candidate must be able to gather requirements and design a solution with minimal oversight.
- The candidate must be able to present a development plan and forecast deliverables.
- The candidate must have strong familiarity with software security technologies such as Address Space Layout Randomization and Data Execution Prevention.
- The candidate must have experience with additional architectures such as ARM, RISC, and PPC.
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- The candidate must hold a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with a full-scope polygraph.
- Design and implement custom software tools and techniques.
- Diagnose issues and debug customer problems using industry-standard tools and custom toolsets.
- Perform end-to-end software design, development, and standard developer testing.
- Write documentation for operating and supporting developed software and techniques.
- Develop software and toolchain/helper tools.
- Use debuggers, disassemblers, and other diagnostic software.
- Attend design meetings.
- Perform code reviews.
- Interface with developers and customer personnel to solve problems and communicate requirements, status, and other information.
- Mentor and lead junior-level developers to accomplish mission objectives and solve real-time engineering challenges.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Computer Network Operations capabilities.
- Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or a similar binary analysis tool.
