Requirements
  • Progressive construction industry experience supporting commercial construction projects, with experience level dependent on role classification and project complexity.
  • Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, project controls, subcontractor coordination, and construction documentation processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Zoom, Revit, Assemble, and related construction technology platforms.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • A current driver’s license is required.
  • Team members of the Operations department are required to work on-site Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager with overseeing the construction process on single large projects or multiple small to mid-sized projects.
  • Communicate with subcontractors while maintaining the project budget and timeframe.
  • Assist with preconstruction efforts related to subcontractor outreach, scheduling, logistics, and constructability.
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.
  • Participate and meaningfully contribute to monthly cost report meetings.
  • Adhere to project controls procedures, including monthly cost control, pay requests, and cost reporting.
  • Expedite material deliveries.
  • Act as a liaison between the owner, architects, subcontractors, and the company.
  • Coordinate information and documentation from owners and architects to subcontractors.
  • Process subcontractor submittals by routing, reviewing, and approving them.
  • Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including Requests for Information and correspondence; create, assess, route, and distribute these documents.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary construction permits and work with the Project Manager on fee payments or recurring permit expenses.
  • Develop business by identifying client needs, identifying opportunity matches, and communicating the company’s value and differentiation to prospective clients.
  • Review customer feedback, build a customer-centric mentality within teams, and demonstrate customer focus.
  • Apply knowledge of different market sectors and delivery systems to ensure positive customer relations.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with construction accounting systems and financial management principles.
  • OSHA 10 certification, with the ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification within one year of hire.
