About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager on a multifamily property is required.
- Knowledge of leasing, renewals, rent collection, property management, and handling property management and maintenance staff is required.
- Experience with CAM or CAPS is required.
- Experience with Onesite is required.
- Customer service experience is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members is required.
- A high sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines are required.
- Ability to remain organized, professional, and respectful in challenging situations is required.
- Ability to work weekends and/or evenings on a rotating schedule is required.
- Ability to type efficiently is required.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds is required.
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in extreme weather conditions is required.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and reach above the shoulders is required.
- Collect rent, late fees, and utility payments.
- Issue notices, including three-day and lockout notices.
- Prepare, file, and follow up on eviction cases in a timely manner.
- Reduce delinquency by performing timely unit walk-throughs.
- Review lease expirations on a 90-day cycle and follow up with current residents on renewals.
- Complete all tasks associated with the leasing process, including TAA agreements, leasing applications, addendums, screening, and approval criteria.
- Assist with the daily operations of a property under the guidance of the Property Manager.
- Assist with leasing and rent collection while providing service to residents and supporting staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A college degree is preferred.
