- Check seams, hems, cuffs, collars, plackets, pockets, buttonholes, buttons, yokes, sleeves, and other garment components.
- Inspect for puckering, twisting, pulling, uneven seams, raw edges, stains, holes, fabric damage, or other unacceptable conditions.
- Verify that stripes, plaids, patterns, and other fabric details are properly aligned when applicable.
- Check that buttons, buttonholes, labels, tags, and other components are correctly positioned and securely attached.
- Inspect overall garment appearance to ensure the shirt meets company quality expectations.
- Measure garments using approved measuring procedures and equipment.
- Compare measurements to the customer's specifications, approved tolerances, and production requirements.
- Identify garments that are outside established measurement tolerances.
- Verify critical measurements such as chest, waist, sleeve length, shirt length, collar, cuff, shoulder, and other applicable dimensions.
- Communicate quality concerns to the appropriate department and help ensure that only garments meeting company standards proceed to the next stage of production or shipment.
