Responsibilities
  • Camera Operator duties include working in a studio following a camera script, rehearsals, live or recorded productions, and on-location EFP where the operator sets up the camera, lights, and audio and records events.
  • Robotic camera operator duties involve operating digital high-definition cameras with multiple joysticks and coordinating with directors.
  • Video Shader duties include knowledge of video signal formats and frame rates, managing the camera chain and monitoring in control rooms, adjusting hue, saturation, luminance, contrast, color space, color temperature, white level, and sync related to iris, lighting, and lens type; setup, configuration, and diagnosis of television camera systems and video monitors; shading and coloring to meet on-air standards; coordinating with directors and crew to discuss sequences and lighting requirements; working with production team to deliver visual results.
  • Teleprompter Operator duties include transcribing speeches or scripts into readable material for devices used in front of cameras, maintaining good time management and organizational and communication skills, clear communication with director, producers, technical crew, and talent; knowledge of studio, field, and iPad prompters preferred.
  • Audio Engineer duties include setup and operation of sound recording equipment in studio or field, good communication and ability to put subjects at ease, coordinating with camera operator and other technicians to place microphones without interfering with shots, working closely with directors, producers, and talent; capable of editing multi-track productions; ability to do single camera video recordings of musicians; lead audio engineer for musical streaming events in conjunction with the TV studio production team; operation of specified equipment (list of equipment) as provided.
  • Lighting Director duties include designing lighting setups for television studios and field productions, creating plans and budgets, determining lighting needs, directing lighting cues, collaborating with production team to realize director's vision; in-depth knowledge of entertainment electrical systems, including 120/208 volt three-phase distribution and DMX control networking; television luminaire selection, operation and troubleshooting; overhead rigging techniques and support structures; MEWP scissor lift certification and experience working at heights; ability to lift equipment; familiarity with ETC Ion-XE lighting console and electrical regulations; ability to lead crew in lighting, rigging, and scenic projects; cooperative interfacing with clients; teleprompting, woodworking, and scenic experience preferred; ETCP certification preferred; Massachusetts Crowd Manager certification preferred.
  • Grip duties include supporting the Lighting Director by hanging and focusing lighting instruments, building and breaking down sets, and handling wrap and transport; knowledge of electricity, carpentry, and camera operation; ability to lift 40 lbs.
