Kitchen Hand

Job Description

• Clean kitchen equipment, general kitchen areas, dishes, show kitchen, banquet kitchen etc.
• Maintain kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
• Assist with goods receival and storage of deliveries.
• Time permitting - Assist with basic food preparation.
• Help unload deliveries and manage stock rotation.
• Dispose of waste and recycling maintain cleanliness.
• Provide general support to chefs and kitchen staff if called upon.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Experience required (kitchen / cleaning experience is a requirement). Minimum three shifts required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety (training may be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Take ownership of the kitchen areas and focus on a high level of detail cleaning especially in guest facing open kitchens.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Good availability across the week.
• Self-driven, able to work without direct supervision at times.
• Team player who understands the common goal of cleanliness’ and hygiene.
