About the job

Requirements
  • Proven experience leading engineers, ideally including managing a team lead or other managers, and growing a team through hiring and sub-team design.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes, whether on Google Kubernetes Engine, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, on-premises, or another managed Kubernetes service, across multiple regions.
  • Proven experience with infrastructure as code as a core part of a platform, such as Terraform, and with ArgoCD or a comparable GitOps tool.
  • A track record in owning reliability: setting service-level objectives and service-level agreements, running on-call, leading incident response and postmortems, and testing disaster recovery.
  • Observability experience with at least one major platform: Honeycomb, Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic.
  • Comfort with code and the ability to review architecture and prototypes hands-on.
  • Experience owning an infrastructure budget, including cloud cost attribution, forecasting, and cloud-provider relationships.
  • Experience designing deployment models for enterprise customers (single tenant, regional, data residency) and supporting security reviews and contracted service-level agreements.
  • Background in startups or scale-ups, with experience handling ambiguity, moving fast, and wearing multiple hats.
  • Ability to translate infrastructure complexity into clear language for engineers, executives, and clients, and to determine when to decline bespoke requests.
Responsibilities
  • Own the infrastructure strategy and platform roadmap across all products, with final decision-making responsibility for cloud architecture, deployment models, infrastructure vendors, and platform standards.
  • Lead and grow the Platform team: manage existing Platform and SRE employees, plan headcount, set goals and metrics, and design the sub-team structure as the team grows.
  • Own all AI infrastructure, including training and serving infrastructure, MLOps tooling, Vertex, and model access.
  • Maintain the developer experience culture by improving agency for product teams without compromising compliance, creating paved roads for deployments, and identifying pain points.
  • Own the infrastructure and large language model budget, forecast and unit economics, including cost attribution by product and customer and the Google Cloud Platform relationship.
  • Own reliability across engineering, including service-level objectives, the on-call model, incident process, postmortems, disaster recovery testing, and capacity planning.
  • Own continuous integration and continuous delivery and the developer platform, infrastructure as code (Terraform, ArgoCD, Crossplane), and observability standards (Honeycomb, Grafana, Loki).
  • Work with the Platform product manager to define client needs and translate them into the platform roadmap.
  • Act as the named technical owner for infrastructure in enterprise deals and security reviews, join high-stakes sales and client calls, and coach the team to handle other calls.
  • Guide craft mentors for infrastructure, MLOps, and Python engineering, and set engineering-wide standards for reliability, on-call, continuous integration and delivery, and craft.
  • Report platform health and costs to leadership monthly, and lead the infrastructure portion of technical due diligence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Crossplane or a similar product such as Config Connector.
  • Experience with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
  • Security and compliance experience, particularly supporting SOC 2.
  • Experience supporting a funding round, including technical due diligence.

About the company

Mimica builds an AI-powered task mining and process intelligence platform for large enterprises to improve operational efficiency. It observes desktop user activity (clicks and keystrokes) to automatically generate detailed process maps, while Miner identifies and prioritizes automation opportunities by ROI and Mapper creates implementation blueprints. The platform also suggests suitable technologies for each opportunity, such as RPA, GenAI, or intelligent document processing, and integrates with partners like UiPath to import process diagrams. Its goal is to reduce costs and boost workforce productivity by automating repetitive digital tasks and guiding a path from discovery to deployment.

What believers are saying

  • September 24, 2025 Series B raised $26.2 million led by Paladin Capital Group.
  • Mimica reported ARR growth above 570% in 18 months, signaling strong demand.
  • McKesson showcased Mimica in March 2026, validating enterprise adoption beyond pilots.

What critics are saying

  • Celonis, SAP Signavio, and UiPath already own enterprise process-intelligence budgets.
  • Privacy scrutiny around desktop recording can block deployments in regulated workforces.
  • If AI agents shift to native runtime telemetry, Mimica's desktop layer gets bypassed.

What makes Mimica unique

  • Mimica turns desktop clicks into BPMN maps, then feeds UiPath automation directly.
  • Its task mining starts with observed work, not brittle ERP event logs.
  • The 2025 rebrand centers Mimica on agentic AI training from real workflows.
