  • Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, and Adobe Creative Cloud, and experience managing design systems.
  • A track record of translating abstract, complex concepts such as encryption, zero-trust, or secure enclaves into clean, elegant, usable visual solutions.
  • Ability to own end-to-end design, taking a feature or brand asset from initial sketch through user research, prototyping, and developer handoff.
  • Strong visual design capabilities across typography, layout, iconography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience working closely with front-end engineers, understanding technical constraints, CSS/HTML frameworks, and design system handoff processes.
  • Proven ability to adapt in a high-growth environment, move quickly, balance perfection with speed to market, and prioritize high-impact initiatives.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design choices clearly to technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable UI component libraries and design tokens that connect product design with web and marketing presence.
  • Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to understand complex user workflows in government, defence, and enterprise, and iterate based on user testing and feedback.
  • Partner with BD, Strategy, and Marketing teams to design interactive assets, proposal and pitch materials, and client-facing product demonstrations.
  • Translate technical workflows, including zero-trust access, secure enclave monitoring, and data flows, into actionable dashboards and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Ensure accessibility, consistency, and clarity across platforms while prioritizing usability in high-stakes operational environments.
  • Establish design frameworks, standards, and playbooks as the business grows, with the opportunity to hire and mentor junior design talent over time.
  • Define and execute visual and product design strategy, including UI/UX for the Acra platform and a cohesive visual identity across digital presence, collateral, and marketing touchpoints.

About the company

Valarian Technologies builds the control layer for high-consequence operations and AI-driven systems. It provides workload-level governance across all environments that run critical applications and AI, with governance enforced at the infrastructure layer so organisations maintain control over how systems communicate and access data. The platform serves enterprise and defence customers through Valarian Enterprise and Valarian Defence tracks, focusing on data sovereignty, compartmentalisation, and operational resilience for regulated and government users. Valarian differentiates itself by delivering governance at the infrastructure layer for sovereign workloads and by targeting regulated, government-facing use cases, including dual-use and defence applications. The company’s goal is to enable secure, auditable, and resilient operations for critical AI and applications while preserving data control and compliance across environments.

Worldr Adds Another $8 Million In Seed Round, Heads East And West

Messaging systems in today’s workplace have become as ubiquitous as email. In some cases, they’ve downright replaced it. Messengers are everywhere, and we’re all using them. And even though they offer end-to-end encryption, the underlying questions remain - who’s doing the encryption, where is the data sitting, who ultimately owns it, and crucially, are these platforms meeting increasingly strict compliance and regulatory issues?. Financial regulators in the US and UK aren’t joking around regarding the use of private messaging applications. The Securities and Exchange Commission, better known as the SEC, has handed out a total of $1.8 billion in fines across 16 US banking institutions
