Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller in managing day-to-day revenue operations, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and special projects.
- Deliver Reporting (weekly):Renewal numbers for forecast meetings
- Closed Sales Report
- Closed Sales Dashboard
- Government invoicing and reporting (monthly)
- CF check reconciliations (bi-weekly) and refunds (as received)
- Support Accounts Receivable with the accounts@ inbox as needed
- Support for the Client Success Team and NetSuite-ChurnZero needs and any reporting requests.
- Analyzing the market: Tracking market trends, competitor pricing, and guest reviews
- Developing pricing strategies: Creating pricing models that balance competitiveness and profitability
- Manage renewal BoB including invoicing renewals
- Continue new client set-up and invoicing.
- Monitoring sales activity: Tracking and analyzing sales metrics, such as sales revenue, and available capacity
- Setting and managing rates: Adjusting rates and creating new price lists to optimize sales targets
- Collaborating with other teams: Working closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure business objectives align with revenue goals
- Managing revenue accounting: Creating and processing revenue documents, managing revenue adjustments, and approving revenue carve-outs
- Managing financial data: Overseeing the process of collecting and organizing analytical data related to an organization’s revenue, sales, and other financial activities
- Evaluating financial reporting systems: Making recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions
- Support for the Client Success Team and NetSuite-ChurnZero needs and any reporting requests.
- A primary goal of this role will be to reduce inefficiencies: shorten the accounting close process, execute process redesign activities, and optimize Netsuite.
- Develop, execute, and maintain/monitor global financial systems and processes.
- Support and coordinate all internal and external audit activity.
Requirements
- BA in Accounting
- CPA is not required, but it would be a huge plus
- 5-8+ years of experience with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience
- Experience and comfort in building systems and controls from the ground-up in a high-growth, environment; SaaS, B2B, tech preferred
- NetSuite a plus
- Desire to roll-up your sleeves, prioritize work, execute plans, and drive deliverables
- Effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven ability to hire, manage, and mentor high-performing teams
- Collaborative working style with colleagues across the organization while confident to make and own critical decisions
- Results and solutions-oriented self-starter mentality
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP including software revenue recognition
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized and transparent, and a strong communicator - able to present finance information clearly and concisely
- Experience scaling accounting functions and systems
- Embraces working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with international accounting concepts such as foreign exchange, VAT returns, payroll administration, audits and regulatory reporting
