Maintenance Supervisor
About the job
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- An electrical and mechanical attestation or certificate.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery, including extruders, grinders, mixers, chillers, compressors, refrigeration systems, and air-conditioning systems.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and follow complex instruction manuals, blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Ability to use computer-aided drafting software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks to view blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge and understanding of programmable logic controller programming languages and computer systems.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work so that equipment modifications, repairs, and new equipment installations are completed promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Ability to train others in the safe and proper operation and maintenance of equipment relevant to their positions.
- Ability to cope with stress and maintain a professional attitude while interacting with company employees and outside contractors.
- Lead and actively participate in the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility systems.
- Ensure that equipment and machinery in the plant's production facilities are installed, maintained, and operating in optimum condition while meeting safety, quality, and production requirements.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Direct and prioritize the work of Maintenance Technicians.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency situations, including performing work outside normal operating hours when necessary to minimize production downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
