Backend Java Developer and UI Developer - Face to Face
About the job
- At least 6 years of experience in Java application development, including Java, J2EE, or EJB.
- Proficiency in SQL database development, including DB2.
- Comprehensive software development life cycle experience covering requirements, architecture, design, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to explain common object-oriented design patterns; knowledge of the front controller pattern is a strong advantage.
- Experience with web service development using XML, SOAP, or REST.
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design.
- Knowledge of COBOL and CICS is a plus for migrating legacy code to Java and native stored procedures.
- Experience with mobile application development.
- Solid experience with open-source frameworks such as jQuery, RequireJS, and Ext.
- Experience working on Agile teams using Scrum.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with DB2 and WebSphere Application Server.
- Ability to complete a coding challenge.
- Ability to attend a face-to-face interview in Birmingham.
- Any visa is accepted.
- Develop applications using the Java framework with Sencha, Ext, and Sencha Touch front-end technologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of COBOL and CICS.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
