About the role

As an Electrical Apprentice at CS Erickson, you will work under the guidance of experienced electricians to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in the electrical trade. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will assist in installations, repairs, and maintenance projects while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, contributing to the success of projects while honing essential skills for a successful career in the electrical field.

What you'll do

• Assistin Electrical Installations: Work alongside experiencedelectricians ininstalling and connecting electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components. 

• Support Repairs and Maintenance: Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and executing repairs and maintenance tasks as directed by senior team members. 

• Read and Interpret Technical Diagrams: Learn to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to effectively contribute to project execution. 

• Learn Electrical Codes and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations to ensure compliance during all electrical work. 

• Operate Tools and Equipment: Learn to safely handle andutilizevarious electrical tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced personnel. 

• Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Prioritize safety at all times and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job. 

• Develop Troubleshooting Skills: Enhance your problem-solving abilities by learning how toidentifyand resolve electrical issues effectively. 

• Assist with Testing and Inspections:Participatein electrical testing, inspections, and quality control procedures to verify the integrity and functionality of installed systems. 

• Communicate Effectively:Maintainclear and open communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. 

• Embrace Learning Opportunities: Actively seek opportunities for professional development and continuously improve your electrical knowledge and skills. 

Qualifications

Requirements by Level

All applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be enrolled (or willing to enroll as soon as reasonably possible) in an accredited apprenticeship program. The applicable experience range for each level is shown below:

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs
• Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time while using tools and perform repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
