Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required, specifically a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in finite element analysis, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industries.
  • Experience with ANSYS.
  • A strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis principles applied to aircraft engine design.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must currently hold or be willing to obtain a security clearance.
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of aircraft engines.
  • Assist in the design of aircraft engine components that maintain structural integrity while minimizing weight.
  • Investigate and determine root causes for field failures of aircraft engine components, and propose and implement design improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, design engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Use computational tools to generate analysis models.
  • Analyze and post-process results, and prepare high-quality presentations.
  • Conduct design reviews, perform analysis, and create detailed engineering documentation to support the development and certification of aircraft engine components.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience adopting or integrating emerging technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence, automation platforms, or digital assistants, into day-to-day operations for continuous improvement.
