Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in compliance roles within the fintech or financial services industry
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. financial regulations, including BSA, AML, OFAC, and state-specific lending laws
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs
  • Expertise in setting up and managing systems for monitoring transactions for compliance with AML and other regulatory requirements
  • Ability to develop and conduct compliance training programs for employees
  • Skilled in conducting risk assessments and audits to identify compliance risks and deficiencies
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work across departments and with senior management to enforce compliance measures
  • Ability to adapt to regulatory changes and evolving business needs, providing strategic compliance guidance

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive compliance program that addresses regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, OFAC, and state-specific lending laws
  • Oversee, maintain, and update systems for monitoring and reporting on compliance matters, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues
  • Administer training programs on compliance and regulatory matters to ensure that all employees are informed of compliance policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and business objectives; ensure that these policies are effectively communicated and implemented across the company
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries related to compliance matters; coordinate internal efforts to respond to regulatory requests and findings
  • Work closely with other departments and key partners compliance teams, including legal, product development, and operations, to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into business processes
