  • Proficiency with customer relationship management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Availability to travel regularly within the European Union and occasionally to Spain.
  • Professional English proficiency is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial business development, consultative sales, or commercial management of complex technical solutions.

  • Soft skills for effective interaction with technical office, bids, legal, and finance departments.

  • Offer and coordinate feasibility studies.
  • Maintain customer relationships through long sales cycles and support the customer's internal decision-making process with multiple stakeholders.

  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring conditions that enable solution implementation.
  • Coordinate with the bids and technical office teams so proposals address the customer's actual needs identified during opportunity development.
  • Build trusted, long-term commercial relationships with multinational industrial groups and develop a multisite perspective to replicate solutions across plants and geographies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention after contract signing, creating the basis for expansion opportunities involving additional plants or technologies.
  • Develop relationships with technology providers, engineering firms, industrial associations, and other relevant ecosystem participants.
  • Track commercial opportunities through implementation, maintain an updated sales pipeline, and report progress.
  • Collaborate with technical office, bids, legal, risk, and finance departments to ensure the viability and execution of each transaction.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Energy-as-a-Service and project finance models and the regulatory framework for industrial decarbonization.

Acciona acquires 80% of Vertical Earth to accelerate US infrastructure growth

Acciona has agreed to acquire 80% of Vertical Earth, a Georgia-based infrastructure contractor, consolidating Atlanta as the strategic centre for its Infrastructure division's growth in the United States. The deal is expected to close before year-end, subject to regulatory approvals. Brett Johnson, Vertical Earth's founder and CEO, will retain 20% and continue leading the company. Founded in 1997, Vertical Earth generated revenues of $217 million (€191 million) in 2025 and employs over 600 professionals in Georgia and Florida. The acquisition strengthens Acciona's self-execution capacity in a strategic market. The US represents 20% of the global infrastructure industry, with potential contracts worth $303 billion this year. Acciona's Infrastructure division is expanding across the US with major projects including the SR400 motorway in Atlanta and bridge replacement over the Calcasieu River in Louisiana.

The company's revenue was €18 million in 2024, down from €45.6 million in 2023. The capital now totals €102 million.
