Behavioral Technician with CPI
About the job
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Current CPI or Pro Act certification is required.
- At least six months of experience working with behavior is required.
- Applicants must pass a background check, live scan, and reference check.
- A current TB test, physical, CPR certification, and First Aid certification are required and must be valid within 30 days of hire.
- Provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors, relieving family members from daily living activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies, including responding to physically aggressive behavior, as trained.
- Engage clients in activities they enjoy.
- Recognize and respond to behavioral patterns to anticipate and prevent behavior triggers.
- Provide crisis intervention while prioritizing client safety.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the client and family.
