Assurant provides an excellent learning environment for Interns. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Intern to come join our team at our Irving, TX location. This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing & distribution operations, offering a valuable opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

This is an onsite role in our Irving TX facility with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? 

• Assist with the implementation and management of our manufacturing and distribution plans
• Support the optimization of day-to-day manufacturing and distribution operations
• May conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and process standards
• Collaborate with the process engineering team and onsite leadership to improve manufacturing and distribution processes
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, improve quality, lower cost, enhance safety, or increase engagement
• Assist in inventory management and control
• Document and report on production metrics and performance
• Manage, or co-manage a short-term project, determining, implementing and then reflecting on the actions taken
• Potentially do data analysis to deepen the teams understanding or theory on a topic within the business
• Shadow or briefly cover for supervisors and managers to gain insights into leadership and team management

 
What are the requirements needed for this position? 

• Advanced students in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

• Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
• Must be organized and work well with constant priority changes

Pay Range:

$18,00 - $20,00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
