Requirements
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Use analytical thinking to analyze information, coordinate work within schedule constraints, and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Have knowledge of EPIC software and be able to serve as an EPIC super user if required.
- Meet all training and competency requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all Medical Assistant clinical and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily activities of Medical Assistants to ensure optimal clinical flow.
- Interpret and instruct on policies, procedures, and practices.
- Provide staffing schedules for the respective clinic and support staff and clinicians.
- Coordinate scheduling of patient tests and ensure follow-up physician appointments are scheduled.
- Provide in-service training and act as a preceptor.
- Coach and assist with performance evaluations for Medical Assistants.
- Participate with the leadership team to ensure effective clinical operations.
- Document patient examinations in the electronic health record, including exam components, diagnoses, treatment plans, orders, and medications, when required.
- Perform point-of-care testing, and document and report clinical findings to the Registered Nurse in charge and/or provider.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
