Requirements
  • A baccalaureate degree in marketing, public relations, or a business-related field, or three to five years of marketing experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in an office or in business offices in the community.
  • Ability to travel and attend frequent in- and out-of-hospital meetings.
  • Ability to use a computer frequently.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand frequently, sit frequently, lift 25 pounds occasionally, push and/or pull 25 pounds occasionally, carry 25 pounds occasionally, and reach from 4 inches to shoulder height occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Lead marketing, advertising, and public relations functions for assigned service lines, departments, clinics, and projects, ensuring implementation of marketing and communication plans.
  • Coordinate and implement events, including community engagement activities and health system initiatives, and complete required documentation and logistics accurately and timely.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of community and employee events and promote active participation by leadership and staff.
  • Serve as the web content expert for gphealth.org and manage corporate social media accounts, keeping information current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Promote new physicians and health system services in a timely and effective manner to maximize marketing opportunities and participation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, directors, employees, and community leaders while representing Great Plains Health.
  • Stay current with trends, innovations, issues, and best practices in marketing, public relations, and the healthcare industry.
  • Identify and coordinate Great Plains Health's involvement in key community events and advance the organization's wellness message through various initiatives.
  • Lead special projects as assigned and assist with the success of Great Plains Health events.
  • Comply with hospital policies and uphold Great Plains Health standards of behavior.
