About the Company

OMERS

Manages defined-benefit pension plan assets

OMERS administers pensions and manages investments for over half a million public-sector workers in Ontario, with offices in major cities worldwide. It funds retirements through member contributions and investment returns, maintaining member records and paying benefits as eligible. As one of Canada’s largest defined‑benefit plans by net assets (about C$138.2 billion as of Dec 31, 2024) with a history dating to 1962, it has a broad, multi-jurisdictional investment footprint. Its goal is to provide secure, sustainable retirement benefits for its members while growing the fund prudently to support long‑term financial strength.
