About the company

Infinite Machine designs high-performance electric mobility options for cities, starting with the P1 scooter and the Olto. The P1 uses a 6 kW hub motor, can reach 55–65 mph, rides with a removable 3.2 kWh battery for about 60 miles, and includes onboard computer, CarPlay, cameras, a mobile app, and modular accessories. It sells directly to consumers and emphasizes modularity, upgrade paths, and two-person seating, differentiating itself from cars and rival micromobility offerings through a performance-focused, configurable approach. The company aims to move urban travel away from cars toward customizable electric vehicles and plans rapid market rollout with seed funding from investors like Andreessen Horowitz.

Infinite Machine's Olto Introduces a Modular Approach to Urban Electric Mobility

Infinite Machine's Olto introduces a modular approach to urban electric mobility. BY Sylvester March 16, 2026 Olto by Infinite Machine | NY Product Design Awards A refined vision for city travel. Urban mobility continues to evolve as cities seek transportation solutions that support efficiency, flexibility, and daily practicality. Olto, developed by Infinite Machine, has received recognition at the 2025 NY Product Design Awards for its thoughtful approach to electric bike design. Created for modern city environments, Olto offers riders a dependable two-wheeled electric vehicle designed for commuting, errands, and everyday travel. Built for bike lane infrastructure, Olto delivers the performance needed for regular urban movement while maintaining a compact and controlled riding experience. The electric bike provides a convenient transportation option for individuals seeking reliable alternatives to driving or navigating crowded public transit systems. Its balanced proportions and clean structural layout reflect careful engineering focused on durability and long-term usability. A defining aspect of Olto is its modular design system. The bike features transformable pedals or footrests, allowing riders to switch between a fully electric mode and a pedal-assisted riding experience. This flexible configuration allows users to tailor how they travel based on route conditions, distance, or personal preference. The modular concept continues through an expanding range of accessories designed to support different day-to-day needs. Cargo racks, soft storage bags, child carriers, and additional attachments allow the bike to adapt to various situations throughout the week. Riders can carry work essentials during commutes, transport groceries on routine errands, or prepare the bike for relaxed rides through the city. Each configuration supports functional use while maintaining the product's refined visual character. Attention to detail guides every aspect of the design. The frame structure balances structural strength with a lightweight composition that supports stable handling and comfortable maneuverability. Minimal lines define the silhouette, creating a clear and modern appearance. Components are engineered with longevity in mind, reflecting Infinite Machine's focus on building products intended for lasting performance. The design direction takes cues from automotive engineering along with the disciplined simplicity associated with Japanese and Italian design traditions. These influences contribute to a product that feels precise, polished, and carefully resolved. Through Olto, Infinite Machine presents a vision for urban transportation centered on thoughtful design and practical mobility. Recognized by the 2025 NY Product Design Awards, the electric bike reflects a commitment to creating transportation solutions suited to the pace and rhythm of contemporary city life. Media. Credits. Discover SCENEAfter launching a high-end, cyberpunk-style electric motorbike that costs more than some used cars, Andreessen Horowitz-funded Brooklyn startup Infinite Machine is finally getting practical. It just unveiled the Olto: a $3,495 electric scooter that looks like it escaped from an industrial designer’s mood board. (That's not surprising since the company was founded by brothers Joseph and Eddie Cohen, both erstwhile Apple employees.)It’s the second vehicle from Infinite Machine, whose first product, the P1, made headlines last year for its $10,000 price tag, 55 mph top speed, and Tesla Cybertruck-esque, American brutalist aesthetic. That model generated a flurry of tech press, but its price and motorcycle-level specs made it a niche toy for wealthy hobbyists. The Olto, by contrast, doesn’t require a motorcycle license, and is designed to live on city streets and in bike lanes.Olto.
