Industrial Maintenance Technician
About the job
- Vocational school, related military experience, or equivalent job experience.
- Have 2–5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas: logistics-related software development; controls development, preferably on conveyor or similar equipment; autonomous mobile robot, automated guided vehicle, or self-driving vehicle installation, configuration, and service; mechanical installation and integration, preferably on high-automation projects; client service and troubleshooting; facilities management; parts management; and project management.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to extract technical information.
- Be literate in PC computer software and hardware, and have basic computer networking skills.
- Work independently without on-site supervision and stay organized and self-directed.
- Travel to client sites 30% of the time.
- Lift, lower, and carry objects up to 50 pounds; work at heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Have correctable vision, color discrimination, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Be available for on-call work, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Work the Wednesday–Saturday shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM PST.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on associated assets as directed by the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Provide corrective and reactive maintenance on plant assets as required.
- Analyze asset failures to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in installation and commissioning of assigned KPI projects.
- Coordinate and participate in start-up services to ensure smooth transitions from project teams to service teams.
- Train clients in support, recovery, and maintenance of field assets.
- Assist clients with parts orders, consumables, repair and return of defective parts, warranty services, and requests for information about their systems.
- Provide customer support and help ensure maximum equipment uptime and customer service.
