Requirements
  • A Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license and eligibility to practice in Connecticut are required.
  • At least 24 months of general dermatology patient care experience as a mid-level provider is required.
  • Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care are required.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented dermatology practice is required.
  • Interest in medical dermatology is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general dermatology patient care as a mid-level provider, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
  • Manage dermatologic conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rashes, lesions, and skin cancer concerns.
  • Perform appropriate office-based dermatology procedures within the scope of practice and experience, such as biopsies and other minor procedures.
  • Collaborate with the supervising dermatologist, on-site Mohs surgeon, clinical team, and administrative staff to provide efficient, patient-centered care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and promptly with support from scribes and clinical administrative team members.
  • Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, prevention, medication use, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain relationships with patients, referring providers, and the local community.
Desired Qualifications
  • Procedural dermatology experience is preferred.
