Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional card experiences. Own the end-to-end product lifecycle to deliver seamless integration between Affirm’s loan products and the card networks, so everything works exactly how users expect. This challenge of fitting BNPL loans onto the existing debit and credit card rails is unique to Affirm, and it’s a critical part of scaling our card business.
  • Get into the data. Work with analytics and engineering to define and drill down into key metrics, generating insights that inform the roadmap and achieve business goals. This is a data-heavy problem space, and you’ll roll up your sleeves and help us make sense of it all.
  • Champion our users. Build deep empathy for users of Affirm’s card products, bringing their pain points to light and relentlessly working to improve their experiences.
  • Be a card expert. Develop a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape in the industry. Use this knowledge to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities.
  • Build for scale. Guide the product direction with the big picture in mind, creating scalable solutions that can support a growing array of products and channels.
  • Be a leader. Lead the roadmap and strategy for our open loop BNPL products, influencing and getting buy-in from a diverse group of stakeholders and leadership.

Affirm provides point-of-sale financing solutions as an alternative to traditional credit cards, allowing consumers to make purchases and pay over time through installment plans without hidden fees. The company partners with merchants to integrate its "buy now, pay later" (BNPL) services into their sales platforms, both online and in-store. Affirm generates revenue from interest and fees on loans and from merchants who pay to offer its financing options. The goal is to empower consumers with flexible payment options while helping merchants increase sales.
