- Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
- Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Provide clinically sound and compassionate care.
- Possess communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Work well under pressure and collaborate harmoniously with all staff.
- Provide daily support to unit leadership and respond appropriately and promptly to resident and family needs within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice.
- Use the nursing process, professional judgment, and nursing skills to set priorities and deliver quality direct resident care while promoting resident safety and care quality.
- Perform or administer standard nursing treatments and medications, and observe residents for desired or unwanted effects.
- Communicate and collaborate with appropriate care-team members to revise or update the nursing care plan and report pertinent findings, including laboratory or test results, incidents, and concerns.
- Monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and residents’ responses.
- Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care associated with Certified Nursing Assistant assignments and activities, considering residents’ needs and personnel competency.
