Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with one year of relevant experience in the life science industry, an associate's degree with two years of relevant experience in the life science industry, or a high school diploma or technical degree with at least three years of relevant experience in the life science industry.
  • Phlebotomy certification when applicable and required by state law.
  • Intramuscular dose administration and preparation certification when applicable and required by state law.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and manage clinical trials in accordance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice, International Council for Harmonisation guidelines, and company standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate assigned clinical trials with supervision, including study start-up, vendor management, subject recruitment, source development review, subject scheduling, protocol training, regulatory document collection, study visits, timely data entry, query resolution, adverse event and serious adverse event management and reporting, protocol amendments, and closeout reports.
  • Implement research and administrative strategies to manage assigned protocols successfully.
  • Communicate with coworkers, leadership, study subjects, sponsors, contract research organizations, and vendors.
  • Apply good documentation practices when collecting and correcting data, transferring data to sponsor or contract research organization data-capture systems, and resolving queries.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of protected health information and sponsor and company confidential information.
  • Uphold patient safety and follow and report adverse events, serious adverse events, and adverse events of special interest in accordance with the protocol and company standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure data is entered into the sponsor's data portal and queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately delegated and trained, with the training documented.
  • Create, collect, and submit regulatory documents to sponsors and institutional review boards as required by the protocol, Good Clinical Practice and International Council for Harmonisation regulations, and institutional review board requirements.
  • Evaluate potential subjects for clinical-trial participation through telephone and in-person prescreens.
  • Execute recruitment strategies defined by the Clinical Research Team.
  • Understand key timelines, endpoints, required vendors, and patient populations for each assigned protocol.
  • Perform clinical duties within scope, including drug preparation and administration, FibroScan, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, and laboratory processing.
  • Promote respect for cultural diversity and conventions.
