Requirements
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect, including designing, developing, and implementing solutions on AWS data and analytics platforms.
  • Proven expertise in AWS data integration and analytics platforms, including data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and lakehouse or data lake concepts.
  • Experience with Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR, and related AWS security, networking, and monitoring services.
  • Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate or equivalent, and/or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery and Infrastructure-as-Code for AWS platforms, including Git-based workflows, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild.
  • Eligibility to obtain United Kingdom Security Check clearance, including continuous United Kingdom residence for the last five years.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment checks covering identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history, and an unspent criminal record check.
Responsibilities
  • Design and lead the delivery of modern data platforms supporting analytics, artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Translate business strategy into robust, governed, and artificial-intelligence-ready architectures and own delivery from vision through value realisation.
  • Design and build data integration solutions using AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, and AWS Database Migration Service to orchestrate ingestion, transformation, and movement of data into Amazon S3 and downstream analytics services.
  • Design and oversee secure lakehouse and warehouse architectures using logical and physical data models, data quality controls, Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Athena.
  • Design artificial-intelligence and machine-learning-enabled solutions, including governed feature-ready datasets and integration with Amazon SageMaker and related AWS artificial intelligence services.
  • Design, monitor, and optimise data pipelines and platform performance using Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and service-native monitoring.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and platform or DevOps teams to implement secure continuous integration and continuous delivery, environment management, and scalable multi-account patterns.
  • Define AWS multi-account strategies, development/test/production environment separation, naming standards, and guardrails for secure self-service.
  • Implement data discovery, classification, lineage, and stewardship practices using AWS Glue Data Catalog and AWS Lake Formation.
  • Design identity, access, and secrets management using AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center, KMS, and Secrets Manager, together with network and monitoring controls for sensitive public-sector workloads.
  • Define continuous integration and continuous delivery and release management using Git-based workflows, automated testing, and repeatable environment provisioning with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild.
  • Shape cost governance, tagging, chargeback or showback, usage monitoring, and design optimisation using AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Assess legacy estates and design roadmaps for migration and modernisation to AWS architectures, including S3-based data lakes and Redshift-based analytics, with transition planning, delivery governance, and risk management.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and multi-supplier delivery teams to align shared standards, reuse platforms, and build sustainable data capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of government operating models, regulatory obligations, data protection, data sovereignty, transparency, and auditability.
  • Experience working in complex public-sector environments with trusted, mission-critical data.
  • Experience supporting analytics, artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, and data-driven operations.
  • Existing AWS advocacy or active development toward deep capability across AWS data and analytics services.

HMRC awards Capgemini $47M SAP migration contract, extending 28-year relationship

The UK's HM Revenue & Customs has awarded Capgemini a £37 million contract to migrate its Enterprise Tax Management Platform from SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA. The contract runs until 2032, potentially extending Capgemini's involvement with HMRC's tax systems to 28 years since the relationship began in 2004. The platform handles more than £800 billion in tax revenue and payments annually for 40,000 users. HMRC insisted the procurement was fair and competitive, with several bidders competing from the Digital Legacy Application Services framework. Capgemini became HMRC's lead technology supplier in 2004 under the Aspire contract. A 2014 parliamentary committee found that Aspire cost £7.9 billion between 2004 and 2014, generating £1.2 billion in combined profit for Capgemini and Fujitsu.

Capgemini H1 net profit drops 31% to $538M despite 8.8% revenue rise and raised FY outlook

French technology company Capgemini reported a 31% drop in net profit to €498 million in the first half of the year, down from €724 million in the same period last year, due to higher expenses. Normalised earnings per share fell 12% to €5.29. Revenue climbed 8.8% to €12.08 billion from €11.11 billion. The company's operating margin rose 9.3% to €1.51 billion. Net other operating income and expenses increased to €628 million from €401 million in the prior-year period. Capgemini raised its fiscal 2026 revenue growth outlook to around 8.5% to 9.0% at constant exchange rates, up from its earlier forecast of 6.5% to 8.5%.

Capgemini raises 2026 revenue growth target to 8.5-9% after strong H1 performance

Capgemini has upgraded its 2026 revenue growth outlook following strong first-half performance. The French IT services firm now expects constant currency revenue growth of around 8.5% to 9.0%, up from its previous target of 6.5% to 8.5%. The company reported revenues of €12.1 billion in the first half of 2026, up 8.8% year-on-year, with constant currency growth of 11.3%. Operating margin reached 12.5% of revenues, up 10 basis points year-on-year. Chief executive Aiman Ezzat attributed the performance to strong demand for AI-driven transformation services, particularly agentic AI and physical AI solutions. The company's newly integrated Intelligent Business Operations business line, following the WNS acquisition, is generating significant commercial traction. Capgemini maintained its operating margin target of 13.6% to 13.8% and organic free cash flow guidance of €1.8 billion to €1.9 billion for the full year.

Capgemini launches AI-powered 'Inside My Race' for Tour de France personalised fan experience

Capgemini and the Tour de France have launched "Inside My Race", an AI-powered digital platform that provides fans with personalised, near real-time insights during the cycling race. As the Tour's official technology partner, Capgemini developed the solution to transform complex data into contextual stories and tailored race analysis. The platform uses generative AI to interpret live race data, combining information on positioning, speed and terrain with editorial content and historical performance. Fans can follow up to four favourite riders and receive personalised narratives before, during and after each stage. A 3D map visualises selected riders' progress compared to race leaders. The solution, available from 4 July on Tour de France platforms, represents the first innovation from Capgemini's partnership with the event, aiming to make cycling more accessible to global audiences.
