Requirements
  • Experience / background in Power & Magnetics (Electromagnets, Motors, Transformers).
  • Experience in Power electronics circuit simulation and modeling and related software tools (e.g. Cadence, Simplorer, Spice, Matlab Simulink)
  • Experience with Electromagnetic simulations and modeling (e.g. Maxwell FEA, Comsol Multiphysics)
  • Familiar with Power converter topologies e.g. Buck/Boost/Flyback/LLC and control loop modeling
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification
  • Experience with high frequency transformer theory and modeling
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing and statistical production tolerance analysis
  • Familiarity with common lab equipment and measurement techniques including network analyzers, LCR meter, power supply/amplifiers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Must be highly motivated, self-starter with innovation, integrity and attention to details.
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced innovative work environment
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Direct experience in wireless charging
  • M.S./Ph.D(preferred) in power electronics (ECE) program, or related area (e.g. engineering physics)
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, define and track power targets for wireless power sub systems and atomic power use cases derived from product requirements.
  • Develop and document system architecture for wireless power management for optimal energy efficiency and consistent with product requirements for thermal and peak power constraints.
  • Write requirements, specifications, and test plans for both hardware and FW.
  • Define factory tests, test limits, and work with factory and peers to perform failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Guide the team in the development of necessary algorithms, state-transition diagrams/flowcharts and analysis for each regime of operation.
  • Interface with cellular chipset vendors to ensure consistency of chipset architecture with power architecture requirements.
  • Create critical technical problem resolution activities.
  • Optimize power delivery trade-offs such as efficiency, solution size, performance impact, cost, development risk and other system considerations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and work with development teams to deliver solutions.
