- Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms.
- Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office laboratory testing.
- Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed.
- Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
