Requirements
  • Hold a diploma in nursing.
  • Be in good standing with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
  • Have more than three years of emergency-care experience, including experience in the resuscitation room.
  • Have at least one year of triage experience and CTAS certification.
  • Have completed an arrhythmia course.
  • Hold a DSQ key.
  • Know the DCI-Cristal-Net, MedUrge, and SIL-P systems.
  • Have functional proficiency in English.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Have a functional automobile.
Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid and safe care to patients in the emergency department.
  • Triage patients and prioritize care according to case severity.
  • Intervene in the resuscitation room and in critical situations.
  • Collaborate with the medical and interdisciplinary team in an emergency-care setting.
  • Continuously monitor patients' clinical status.
  • Participate actively in managing unstable and complex situations.
  • Document care according to applicable standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • ACLS and ATLS training are important assets.
  • Be able to adapt quickly to a demanding environment.
  • Exercise clinical leadership in the shock room.
  • Cover the full duration of the assignment, if possible.
