Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2.5 years of experience as an Assembly Technician in the semiconductor industry or a similar industry is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of all areas of responsibility is required.
  • The jobholder must ensure quality workmanship and promote professional behavior.
  • The candidate must be organized, articulate, forthright, able to work well under pressure, and have a positive communication style.
Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic assembly work.
  • Decontaminate tools, equipment, assemblies, and equipment.
  • Crimp and pin connectors, build wire harnesses and cable assemblies, and complete sub-assembly builds of wet processing equipment to precise customer specifications.
  • Understand metric and standard units of measure, describe basic electrical circuits, and demonstrate understanding of specification tolerances.
  • Use schematics, drawings, and work instructions to follow and understand manufacturing procedures.
  • Use manufacturing tools including sockets, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, voltmeters, drills, heat guns, and crimp tools.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring of electrical assemblies to precise specifications.
  • Integrate sub-assemblies and components into tool builds using documented instructions and precise specifications.
  • Use electrical and mechanical schematics, engineering releases, and flow plans, and identify oversights or inaccuracies in documentation.
  • Work on electrical and mechanical assemblies and integrate them with limited support on a product platform.
  • Work in multiple environments while generally contributing to one product platform.
  • Mentor and instruct employees classified as Assembly Technician Level 1.
  • Develop the skills necessary for promotion to Assembly Technician Level 3.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervision.
