Successful completion of four years above high school with courses related to pharmacy, including 48 semester hours of science, mathematics, or pharmacy, or a bachelor's degree; alternatively, an associate's degree in pharmacy technician with 48 semester hours of concentrated pharmacy technician training, or four years of pharmacy technician experience.
Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or certification as a pharmacy technician from the National Healthcareer Association.
At least 1,500 hours of pharmacist technician experience within the past three years or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
Basic Life Support certification is required.
Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, manual and fine dexterity, grasping, and close-distance hearing.
Ability to occasionally bend, twist, crawl, kneel, squat, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Near and far vision sufficient to visualize computer screens, review documents, and assist patients and healthcare team members.
Ability to communicate through writing, reading, mathematics, hearing, and comprehensive speech skills.
Responsibilities
Serve as an all-around assistant to the pharmacist.
Perform pharmacy duties while understanding pharmacy workflow, routine, and Pharmacy Service responsibilities.
Work rotating eight-hour shifts, including weekday, Saturday, and Sunday coverage.

What you'll do:
This is a full-performance-level position within the Reedsburg Area Medical Center Pharmacy Department. The role serves as an all-around assistant to the pharmacist, requiring performance of duties with an understanding of the workflow, the pharmacy routine, and the responsibilities of the Pharmacy Service.
Education and Training Required:
Successful completion of four years above high school with courses related to pharmacy (e.g., 48 semester hours of science, mathematics, pharmacy) or a bachelor’s degree.
OR An associate’s degree in pharmacy technician (48 semester hours of concentrated pharmacy technician training).
OR Four years of pharmacy technician experience
AND Certification of CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA
Must have 1500 hours of experience as a pharmacist technician within the past three years or completed an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
BLS certification required.
