Aussie Broadband has finished off its 2026 financial year with growth across the board, reporting revenue growth of 9.2 per cent, rising to nearly $1.3 billion, for the 12 months ending 30 June. During the period, underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 19.6 per cent, to $165.3 million, while net profit after tax (NPAT) rose 7.5 per cent, to $35.3 million. As a result, Aussie Broadband group CEO Brian Maher said FY26 was a "defining year" for the telco. "Our premium telco offering continued to attract customers and partners, delivering organic connections growth, strategic customer wins and strong financial performance despite a competitive market backdrop," he said. "We grew revenue while improving operating leverage, resulting in EBITDA margin expansion and accelerated earnings growth." Maher also highlighted several strategic acquisitions that took place during the period - including AGL Telco and Nexgen, both of which took place in February - which he said materially strengthened Aussie's growth platform During the financial year prior, Aussie Broadband signed a six-year wholesale services agreement with More Telecom to provide NBN services to it and its jointly operated group company Tangerine Telecom. Separately, Aussie Broadband also agreed to sell its Buddy Telco brand and customer assets to Tangerine. In an update, Aussie Broadband said the migrations associated with those agreements occurred on schedule in June 2026, which added significant scale and created a new go-to-market channel via an indirect banking relationship. Maher said both these agreements and acquisitions underpin its three-year-long Look-to-28 strategy, \"The migration of More and Tangerine connections and the acquisitions of AGL Telco and Nexgen have increased our scale, broadened our customer base and enhanced our ability to meet the evolving needs of customers across all segments,\" he said. During the 12 months, on-net connections grew 41 per cent, to 1.1 million, with Aussie Broadband's market share of on-net National Broadband Network (NBN) services rising to 12.1 per cent. Mobile connections were also up, rising 22 per cent to 263,000, with the introduction of retail international roaming in May and eSIM functionality in July expected to fuel growth in the financial year ahead. On a segment basis, residential revenue was up 12.4 per cent, with broadband maintaining its spot as the main growth driver, coupled with momentum in mobile services via bundling and product enhancements. The business, enterprise, and government segment also increased by 12.4 per cent due in part to larger strategic customer deals and existing customers expanding their adoption of the telco's products. Meanwhile, wholesale revenue rose 9.4 per cent after the successful migration of More and Tangerine services, with gross margin broadly in line with the prior year. The telco added investment into enablement platforms strengthened its ability to scale through multiple channels. Looking to the current financial year, Aussie Broadband said it has currently had a strong start to FY27, with over 120,000 broadband connections added to its network through organic growth and customer migrations. Mobile services have also risen due to recent product enhancements. Excluding its migrations and acquisitions, Aussie Broadband added around 11,000 net new broadband connections since 1 July, which reflects its organic performance after price rises over most of its product plans,. the telco noted. With all of this in mind, Aussie Broadband said during FY27, it expects to deliver underlying EBITDA between $205 million and $215 million, equating to growth from 24 per cent to 30 per cent. "We enter FY27 with strong momentum and a significantly enhanced platform for growth," Maher added. "Its focus now shifts from executing transactions to realising their benefits as Arnnet leverage increasing scale, broadened customer acquisition channels and strengthened capabilities to drive continued organic growth. "With greater scale, multiple growth channels and continued strength in our underlying business, we are well positioned to deliver on our upgraded Look-to-28 ambitions."
