Visual Communications Intern
About the job
- Be a junior, senior, or recent graduate majoring in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Visual Merchandising, Editorial/Publication Design, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Have strong skills in layout and visual organization, using InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in visual polish and written grammar.
- Be able to simplify complex information into clear, actionable sequencing.
- Be highly organized and comfortable managing multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborate effectively across departments.
- Translate final creative direction into step-by-step digital manuals for stores, including written build instructions, material and prop checklists, placement diagrams and callouts, and styling guidance with “Do / Don’t” examples.
- Help develop instructional video content by supporting script outlines, filming needs, and editing when able.
- Organize large volumes of notes, visuals, and information into clean, digestible, magazine-style documents.
- Ensure instructions balance design intent and practicality so execution is realistic for all store types.
- Partner with teams to confirm clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintain organized file systems and project folders so documentation is easy to access and reference.
