Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in fields such as an engineering discipline, health physics, business administration, or environmental management; a Master’s degree can substitute for five years of relevant commercial or government experience
  • Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, in an engineering discipline, health physics, business administration, or environmental management
  • At least 15 years of relevant commercial or government experience, which includes at least 10 years of nuclear safety or environment, safety, and health-related experience; at least 5 years of experience in conducting appraisals; and at least 5 years of experience in managing a project of similar size, scope and complexity, directing project efforts that involve a diverse mix of technical, management, and administrative functions, and dealing directly with senior Government officials
  • Applicant must demonstrate a broad working knowledge of environment, safety, and health programs (including nuclear safety, worker safety and health, and environmental protection)
  • Applicant must demonstrate experience and knowledge of project management techniques including principles ranging from conceptualization, planning, design, project development, and understanding of cost, scheduling and control measures
  • Applicant must have detailed knowledge of DOE missions, sites, operations, facilities, and organizational roles and responsibilities
  • Applicant must have good understanding of DOE safety and security enforcement programs and demonstrated capability to apply expertise to support DOE mission objectives and initiatives, including use of technical experts to help Federal and contractor line management identify solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the US Government’s designated Security Office
  • Ability to interface with senior Government officials
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email
Responsibilities
  • Support requirements for CLIN 1000: Management And Technical Crosscutting Activities (Time And Materials) for Activities Related To General An
  • Observe and report on the performance of Federal and contractor organizations’ implementation of security and safety policies and programs
  • Apply enforcement actions to contractor organizations for poor performance in adhering to legally enforceable security and safety requirements
  • Develop and deliver security and safety training programs that reflect best practices and lessons learned from EA independent assessments to enhance workforce performance
  • Provide technical expertise to perform the full scope of oversight program and support activities for the enforcement and training programs in the areas of safeguards and security; cyber security; emergency management; environment, safety, and health; and general and cross-cutting support
  • Interface with senior DOE and contractor managers
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria
  • Meet milestones/delivery schedules as outlined
