About the Company

Rainmaker

Develops cloud-seeding systems to increase precipitation

Rainmaker builds cloud-seeding systems that pair weather software, radar sensing, and unmanned aircraft to increase precipitation and create more freshwater for farms, ecosystems, communities, and industry. The system combines atmospheric science with field deployments, using planning software, real-time sensing, and autonomous seeding operations to seed clouds and boost rainfall. It differentiates itself by integrating multiple technologies into a single workflow and by citing verified seeded precipitation in research near Homer, Alaska. Its goal is to lower the cost per acre-foot of incremental water and scale capabilities—called Weather Prime—to provide an alternative to desalination in basins like the Colorado River.
